Intelligent Retail Review - Our EPoS and Website
Here at Sands Gifts we use a premium multichannel EPoS solution called Connect for our eCommerce website, online channels and our tills in store, we thought we would write a quick review of the Intelligent Retail system! Connect combines our till sales with our online sales in one easy to use central system, making the stock management much simpler and saving time. The Connect multichannel software has been designed from the ground up with features to help retailers organise products, orders and customers all from one place.
Innovative Stock Management
Connect has an innovative visual stock tree that you can import products on mass or create them manually. Each product can have an image and full description along with all the essential data. Having the product details and images available to staff members at the touch of a button means they can assist customers quickly and effectively. The stock tree is also searchable by keyword or codes and also has a useful filter and tagging system to help retailers organise and quickly find types of products: helping to improve efficiency.
From this main stock tree you can simply drag and drop your products across into the multichannel stock trees such as an eCommerce website, Amazon or eBay. Connect then links the stock together and automatically updates the stock quantity when items are sold in store or online. Saving retailers the time of logging into multiple platforms to update the stock separately.
The orders from the various channels are all downloaded to the tills so you can be serving a customer in store one moment and then picking, packing and despatching a web order from your website, Amazon or eBay the next. Connect also gives you the functionality to print out address documents and receipts from the order allowing retailers to keep a smooth processes. Not only are orders downloaded but also the customer record is added to your customer database, keeping all your customers in one central place and this can then be used for reporting or email marketing.
Connect multichannel software was designed with independent retailers in mind and is being continually advanced and improved. The retail architecture means that retailers have one database of products, customers and orders that can be accessed on any till or back office machine. All the information is updated though a broadband connection and is hosted on central secure servers. This provides a valuable backup and also means that you can access your Connect business information where ever you are.
