Wrendale Designs produce a stunning collection of greetings cards, stationery, prints and tins that celebrate British farm animals and wildlife. The gorgeous Wrendale collection has garnered worldwide attention and multiple awards and it is not difficult to see why.
Wrendale Designs was founded by Hannah Dale. Dale studied at art school before changing direction to read biology at Cambridge and then eventually working as a stockbroker in London. Throughout this time Hannah Dale's artistic nature always called her and was finally realised once more when she married a Lincolnshire farmer. Finding herself living in rural Lincolshire, Hannah Dale looked for ways to use her artistic skills and began her endeavours by creating home furnishings for locals and painting personalised pictures for children.
Taking inspiration from the farm and the beautiful surrounding countryside Dale began to paint hares as she was particularly enchanted by their unique personalities and expressive faces. Her art was an immediate success and she was encouraged enough to start painting other animals including foxes, geese, hens, pheasants and dogs. It was then suggested that she design some greetings cards and Wrendale Designs was born.
